| Murphy's law is an adage in Western culture that broadly states, "if anything can go wrong, it will." It is also cited as: "If there's more than one possible outcome of a job or task, and one of those outcomes will result in disaster or an undesirable consequence, then somebody will do it that way"; "Anything that can go wrong, will," the similar "Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong," or, "Whatever can go wrong will go wrong, and at the worst possible time, in the worst possible way." In a less dramatic fashion, the law can be expressed as "Anything that has a probability of happening greater than 0 can and will happen. No exceptions." The saying is sometimes referred to as Sod's law or Finagle's law. Wikipedia ftw | |

| I can almost find that offensive.... Yes Murphy's law is simply a long line of *positive will be a negative* quotes. To me this is like a religion I follow it everyday, everything evolves around murphy's law, take my sofball game for example,
Runner on 1, 2 and 3 forced play to 1,2,3 and home (or loaded bases). Player hits the ball strait to center field, (it was around then I go, just as we're in the lead we'll muck up so badly and they'll cream the game) center field drops the catch and instead of throwing to base 2 like she should have and made a side change she throws home, Home drops the ball, letting 1 run through, she then throws to 3 because we want an out, 3 misses the ball completely, causing the runner on 3 to get home and the runner on 2 to get to 3, we then have the ball trown to pitcher, who misses completely, sending the runner on 3 home again, and the runner on 2 takes 3 and sprints home to finally get a home run simply because center field didn't flick the ball to 2.
And that is my story of murphy's law in action. Hope you understood it. | |
