Lol... Okay.
1. Regular Maintenance.
Nothing big, just some server backup and such.
2. The Glitch.
People soon figured out that instead of activating an SC item from your premiumbag, it duplicated. So you'd have 1 in inventory and 1 in premium. You could repeat this as often as you could, soon ending in massive enhancements, people stocking up on SC pots, cookies, extenders... people going into fbz to abuse the hell out of it since everyone assumed it'd be rollback anyway...
3. The Fix.
About 8 hours after maintenance OutSpark caught on. They rebooted the servers, as they put it, which indeed fixed it. After about 2-3 hours servers were back up. But they DIDN"T remove the duplicates. THey only 'fixed' it, so you couldn't dup any more.
4. The Riot.
Since this is of course horrible unfair, killing the economy and killing gameplay, not to mention ruining all outsparks income (some ppl wouldnt have to buy SC for MONTHS) there was a riot demanding a rollback on the forums. And in shout in game.
5. The RollBack
A whole bunch of hours after the servers came back up, they finally went down. There was a rollback of 48 hours.
6. The Glitch.
Was back ._____.
7. The Fix.
They took the servers offline again and actually fixed it this time. So now it should all be fine. Including rollback.
8. The new riot.
The noobs and ppl who didn't know of the SC glitch are horribly upset with the rollback. Some people (loads actually) thought that when the servers came back up the first time, they weren't going to do anything more. THere were no announcements, nothing. So people started playing normally and loads of people grinded/prodded/quested their asses off. And that all got rollbacked.
There you have it, the whole story in small bitesize chuncks!
It's basically just one screw up from outspark. They obviously didn't check this patch before hand, they went to bed after patching so didn't catch on till hours later, they for some reason put the servers back up after the first 'fix' and of course, lacked all sorts of communication with the players.
